V0.3 Dev Log + Release Notes


Evening,

So it has been a while since my last release, however I'm glad to put V0.3 into release and I will discuss what changes I have made during the time I had been gone.

First of all, I have created and implemented enemy instances with a health of 50HP (for the smaller enemies) and your player now also has a working health bar that will take damage when the enemies come in collision with you. There is also now a Game Over layout for when your characters instance variable is equal to 0 and you have two options where you can load back into the last checkpoint or back to the main menu.

Secondly, I have added the keycard object that allows you too progress through levels and give abit more of a puzzle as required which also leads onto I have created a boss fight level for abit more gameplay, it is 1: Unfinished 2: Will be moved on to later level in the game in a later dev release

Lastly, I have worked on 1 outta both of my planned battle mechanics, i have got the lazer gun to work, however it is really clunky but it does work (press q to shoot).


So what do i need to work on?

- Settings Menu

- 2nd Battle Mechanic

- The gun shoots a single lazer at the start of the first or both levels

- Bug where sometimes the sprites will just vanish within the first level

- Bug where if you shoot too early the first enemy becomes invincible

- Sprint Mechanic

- Bug in the boss fight where first the second door just opens at the start of the level, and the boss itself only triggers at a certain position
